Flamin' Hot Cheetos & Deviled Eggs

If you know me (or at least follow me on Instagram), you'll know that I absolutely love hot cheetos more than anything. I typically will eat them with a spoon or chopsticks because I am a clumsy eater and tend to leave red finger stains everywhere. Besides eating the delicious and perfectly spicy snack as is, I also love using it as a garnish over avocados and/or eggs. While that may sound odd to some, the crunchiness of the cheetos are a great addition to soft textured, savory foods. Don't believe me? Just try adding them over your next basic avocado toast! If you like it, then try my Flamin' Hot Cheetos & Deviled Eggs recipe below...

Flamin' Hot Cheetos & Deviled Eggs

Prep Time: 15 min

Cook Time: 10 min

Yields: 8 pieces

Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs

  • 2 tbsp mayo

  • 2 tbsp Sriracha

  • 1/2 cup Cheetos Crunchy Flamin' Hot Cheese Flavored Snacks

  • 1/4 lime wedge

  • Parsley (finely minced) (for garnish)

Directions:

  • Place eggs in a small pot of water (making sure eggs are fully submerged). Turn on medium high heat until water begins to boil. Cover pot with a lid and turn off heat. Let sit for about 10 minutes.

  • While eggs are sitting, crush the Cheetos Crunchy Flamin' Hot Cheese Flavored Snacks (hot cheetos) into small bits. Set aside.

  • Once eggs have sat for about 10 minutes, place them in a bath of cold water/ice. Crack to peel, and run under cold water to help cool. Cut eggs into halves. Remove yolks from whites and place the yolks in a new bowl.

  • In the bowl of yolks, add mayo and Sriracha. Whisk thoroughly until mixture is smooth.

  • Add yolk mixture into a ziplock bag and cut a small hole on one edge. Pipe into each egg white half by squeezing ziplock bag, Garnish with the hot cheeto bits, a drizzle of lime juice, and a pinch of parsley over each deviled egg.

  • Note: For more crunch and spiciness, add bigger chunks of hot cheetos to each deviled egg.
